As a health care provider, Hardin County General Hospital is committed to operating under ethical and moral standards, and ensures to the best of our ability, that our facility, in all of its activities complies with applicable state, federal and local laws, as well as the policies and procedures of this facility. These include, but are not limited to Illinois Department of Public Health, Medicare, Medicaid, EMTALA, OSHA, Anti kickback and HIPAA regulations and guidelines.
Expected standards of conduct are included in the terms and conditions of employment as well as annual training and education for each staff member of the organization. Should staff, appointed agents, physicians or others question the business integrity of any individual or department of this organization, they are expected to report their concerns, anonymously if so desired, to any member of the Corporate Compliance Team which include: the CEO, CFO, Business Office Manager, Utilization Review Director, and other Directors of the hospital. Meetings are held on an “as needed” basis to investigate any reported misconduct.
